Registration on day of race from 6:45am-7:45am at Driggs City Park (corner of 2nd & Ashley) - cash or check only please; Race Day packet pick-up also available in  Driggs City park from 6:45am-7:45am.

The John Colter Half Marathon and 2 Mile Fun Run is a Teton Valley community running event that started in 1976. Always scheduled for the first Saturday in August, the courses start and finish in Driggs City Park in the city of Driggs, Idaho.

Course Description:

Starting at the southeast corner of Driggs City Park (by the baseball diamond on the corner of 2nd and Wallace) the course circles the park and heads out to Little Ave (Ski Hill Road) and turns left. It follows Ski Hill Road towards Grand Targhee Resort , turning left on Alta North Road, left on Kaufman Rd, then left onto Stateline Rd, then turns right, at the water station, back onto Ski Hill Road and follows Ski Hill Road back to 1st Avenue and finishes at the northeast corner of Driggs City Park. Course will be clearly marked with arrows and signage.

The Half Marathon course follows paved, with some gravel/dirt surfaces, through Driggs, Idaho and Alta, Wyoming. There are some rolling hills between miles 5-8, but spectacular views of the Tetons over those same miles are worth the effort.

Prizes go to the first three male / female finishers.

High Peaks Fitness: 1.2 mi / 11.9 mi (Water Only)

Miller Ranch: 2.5 mi / 10.7 mi (Water & Gatorade)

Corner of Ski Hill Rd & Stateline Rd: 4.3mi / 8.9 mi (Water & Gatorade; energy gels)

Corner of Alta North Rd & Kaufman Rd (start of dirt/gravel section): 6.5 mi (Water & Gatorade; energy gels)

ENTRY FEES: t-shirt to Half Marathon competitors registered by 7/25/12); T-shirts available for purchase to Fun Run participants, if available, for $10:

Fun Run: $8-Fun Runner/Walker (DOES NOT INCLUDE T-SHIRT!)

Half Marathon: $30 Before Tuesday, 7/31/12 @ 6pm (t-shirts not guaranteed to those registering after this time);  $40 After 6pm on 7/31/12 until Friday 8/3/12 at 10pm. Race morning registration is $45 and available at the pavilion in Driggs City Park from 6:45-7:45am; t-shirt size guaranteed only to those pre-registered by 7/25/12.
