Registration Information

Jungle Marathon Runner

Due to the remote location of the event, the Jungle Marathon organizers can only accept a certain number of applicants. Please read carefully the rules and regulations before you submit your registration.

ENTRY FEE & REGISTRATION APPLICATION, inc WAIVERS:

Competitors who join the race with Dreamchasers Outdoor Adventure Club, LLC will pay a fee of US$3,500 which could fluctuate (in either direction depending on exchange rates) by US$200. A deposit of US$1,750 is due to secure your spot for the event, and an additional US$1,750 is due on or before August 1, 2011. All checks should be made payable to Dreamchasers Outdoor Adventure Club, LLC and sent to our office or PO Box in Driggs, Idaho-USA.

Additionally, all participants are advised to take out adequate insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances that may lead to a cancellation of registration.

To secure a place in the race you must return your registration forms and payment to Dreamchasers Outdoor Adventure Club, LLC. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. It must be noted that places have been pre-allocated to Brazilian runners as the host nation. We expect participation from at least 15 other countries in the next race.

FLIGHTS:

This entry fee does NOT include airfare to or from Brazil. Participants are advised to book their flights and apply for tourist visas for Brazil in plenty of time - visas are required for US & Canadian participants.

CONFIRMATION OF ENTRY:

On receipt of the completed registration forms and payment, you will receive an email confirming your entry to the race.

CANCELLATIONS:

Your Jungle Marathon entry fee is non-refundable but may be transferred to a future year.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

VISAS: Visas are required for tourists of many nationalities, including the USA, Australia & Canada. Visas are generally for 90 days.UK passport holders do not require a visa to enter Brazil. However, passports must be valid for at least six months from date of entry.

VACCINATIONS: An international certificate of vaccination against yellow fever is compulsory for travelers who, within the three months prior to their arrival in Brazil, have visited or been in transit through any of the following countries: Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, French Guyana, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Nigeria, Peru, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Venezuela and Zaire.Additionally, vaccination against yellow fever is recommended for all travelers when visiting the State of Amazonas. Please note that yellow fever vaccinations take approximately 10 days to become effective and sometimes include side effects 5-7 days after inoculation.

ANTI-MALARIAL TREATMENT: Anti-malarial treatment should be taken when visiting the Amazon.Consult your local physician or pharmacist for the most suitable medication, keeping in mind that some include side effects.
