Marathon Des Sables

Dreamchasers is the official representative of the Marathon Des Sables for individuals who are permanent residents of the following countries: Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA. If you are not a permanent resident of one of the countries listed, please contact the race organizers via their website: www.dabaroud.com.

ENTRY FEE UPDATE: The entry fee for the 2011 Marathon Des Sables has been released.  If you were selected to participate in the 2011 event, you should have received an email update with details about the payment deadlines.  (Please contact our office immediately if you did not receive a copy of the MDS update.) You have until Thursday, August 5th to submit the first installment of the entry fee.  If this payment is not received by that date, your spot will be released and offered to the next person on the waiting list.  

2011 MARATHON DES SABLES - REGISTRATION FORMS: The official race entry forms for the 2011 Marathon Des Sables can be found by clicking here.  You must download these documents and return the completed forms to our office, along with: 3 passport size photos, a clear copy of your passport, the security deposit, a signed copy of our WAIVER, not later than September 24th.  Please do not wait to complete the forms as some sections require a bit of time to finish.  Here is an instruction sheet that is useful for completing the documents. 

2011 Marathon Des Sables WAITING LIST: If you asked to have your name included on the waiting list for the 2011 MDS please be on the lookout for an email from our office.  Now is the time when we typically see people remove their name from the list.  If a spot becomes available we'll contact you immediately, but you will only have a few days to provide a yes or no response before the spot is offered to the next person on the list.  There are currenly over 60 names on our waiting list, but keep in mind that we also requested additional spots from the race organizers so things could open up quickly.  Please be prepared!!!

2011 MARATHON DES SABLES COMPETITOR LIST POSTED: We've posted a list of people selected to participate in the 2011 MDS. Those selected had until December 31, 2009 to submit a non-refundable US$200 pre-registration deposit and Pre-registration Form to our office. Please email us at dreamchaserevents with any questions. If you were not selected your name was automatically added to the waiting list. If space becomes available for the 2011 event, we will contact the next person on the list  to gauge their interest.

2012 MARATHON DES SABLES - LOTTERY INFORMATION 

Dreamchasers will once again conduct a pre-registration lottery for entry to the 2012 Marathon Des Sables. Beginning on August 14, 2010, you will have until October 25, 2010, to submit your name and contact information by visiting the following page: 2012 MDS Lottery (which will be available on August 14). Names selected for the 2012 event will posted to this website during the first week of November.

While there are no 'qualifying' requirements to enter the Marathon Des Sables, please remember, we can only accept registrations from permanent residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the USA, and those applying must be residents of one of those countries. We will draw the names for the 2011 MDS sometime in October and post them to this website. Thank you for your interest in the Marathon Des Sables and good luck with the entry process.
