Marathon Des Sables

Dreamchasers is the official representative of the Marathon Des Sables for individuals who are permanent residents of Canada and the USA. If you are not a permanent resident of one of those countries, please contact the race organizers via their website: www.dabaroud.com. There are no 'qualifying' requirements to enter the Marathon Des Sables.

ENTRY FEE UPDATE: The entry fee for the 2012 Marathon Des Sables is currently set at US$3,900 ($4,100 for each team member).  A $200  pre-registration deposit was required to secure a spot (we are still accepting names for a waiting list). The first entry fee installment of US$1,600 was due by July 29, 2011 and the balance of the entry fee, US$2,100 ($2,300/team member) is due the first week of January 2012. We suggest that every competitor purchase a trip cancellation policy and thoroughly review the refund deadlines, keeping in mind that the last day to withdraw from the 2012 MDS and receive a partial refund is January 31st, 2012.

Interested in the 2013 MARATHON DES SABLES? LOTTERY UPDATE:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: A lottery for entry to the 2013 Marathon Des Sables was held from mid-October thru mid-November 2012.  The first 50 selected to participate in the 2013 edition of the Marathon Des Sables can be found by clicking HERE.  (The Lottery was open to residents of Canada and the USA. Additional spots may be added in the coming weeks, after a meeting with the race organizers to request more spaces for the 2013 event.)

Dreamchasers Outdoor Adventure Club, LLC is the Official Marathon des Sables Representative for the US and Canada. The Marathon Des Sables usually takes place in late March or early April near the remote town of Ouarzazate, Morocco.
