The Run to the Summit Series presented by Smartwool continues this weekend with the running of the 44th Annual Snow King Hill Climb. For those of you who participated in the Targhee Hill Climb last month, be sure to sign up for this, the second event in the three-race series. Click here for this weekend’s registration information and for details on the Hill Climb Series.
Also, it’s time to start rounding into shape for the John Colter Run on August 6th. The day’s events include the Colter Half-Marathon and a Two-Mile Fun Run. So pick the one that suits you and register soon. It promises to be loads of fun and a good workout to start your weekend.
In addition to being a good way get outdoors and have some fun, these running events are perfect training opportunities for some of our upcoming longer races. As in the past, our Grand Teton Races will be held over Labor Day Weekend up at Grand Targhee Resort. Select from the options available this year: 50 Mile, 50K, Trail Marathon, 10K and Kids Fun Run. We hope to see you there.
And don’t forget the inaugural running of the Jackson Hole Marathon on September 24. It promises to be a fast and picturesque course, with plenty of festivities in and around the event. In addition to the Marathon, we’re offering Half-Marathon and Marathon Relay options. Hopefully one of them fits into your running plan. If not, you can still come out and volunteer or cheer on the runners, and enjoy the festivities at Jackson Town Square (starting line) and Teton Village (finish).
