Grand Teton Races

As noted earlier on the Course Description Page of the web site, there have been some modifications to the 50 Mile and Trail Marathon courses.  And we have also introduced the 50K course for the first time this year.  These course maps are now available on the Maps Page of the site.

Registration is still open for all events (50 Mile Ultra, 50K Ultra, Trail Marathon, 10K, and Kid’s Fun Run) .  So if you haven’t already signed up, we hope you will still consider running one of these wonderful races.  We were up marking the courses this weekend and and the trails are in great shape.  The flowers are still in full bloom, the vistas are simply spectacular (as usual), and the weather forecast looks perfect.  We hope to see you at one of the starting lines on Saturday morning.

Races. Races. And More Races!

OK, if you haven’t already signed up, get your calendar out now and check these upcoming race dates:

Grand Teton Races - Saturday, September 3rd.  This year we’re offering a 50K option in addition to the 50 Mile, Trail Marathon, and 10K.  As in the past, Grand Targhee will be our host and provide the centerpiece for our traditional cloverleaf course.  Please note however,  this year all of our races will take place on Saturday, with post race festivities beginning at 6:00 PM  at BBQ Wild Bill’s Restaurant.  Click here for all the details.

Jackson Hole Marathon - Saturday, September 24th.  Join us for the inaugural running of the Jackson Hole Marathon.  Or consider the Marathon Relay or Half-Marathon options.  The Marathon courses start on the Town Square, with the Half starting near the Community Bible Church at H.S. Road and S. Park Loop Road. Both courses finish at Teton Village, and  both will traverse some truly spectacular scenery along a fast, mostly flat running surface.  The temperature should be ideal, and with the trees in their full fall colors we think this promises to be an ideal race day combination.  Click here for all the details.

Tucson Marathon - Sunday, December 11th.  If it starts to look like winter  sports season in early December where you live, but you still won’t have filled your fix for another foot race, then come on down to Arizona and join us for the 17th annual Holuoloa Marathon.  We also offer a Marathon Relay and a Half- Marathon. This is a fast and fair course, and a certified Boston qualifier.  So come out and run your first marathon or your fastest marathon or anything in between.  Click here for all the details.

The Run to the Summit Series presented by Smartwool continues this weekend with the running of the 44th Annual Snow King Hill Climb. For those of you who participated in the Targhee Hill Climb last month, be sure to sign up for this, the second event in the three-race series.
